Major Trauma Advanced Practitioner (MTAP) Group

MTAP was established in late 2023 to facilitate collaboration and knowledge exchange among advanced practitioners in the field of major trauma across the UK and Ireland.

 

The purpose is to enhance patient care, share best practices, and contribute to the continuous development of major trauma advanced practice, focusing on the four pillars of Advanced Practice.

Group membership is open to ACP’s, Trainee ACP’s and Consultant practitioners from all professional backgrounds working in major trauma specific advanced practice roles in inpatient care at MTC's.

​

Current workstreams include:

•          National curriculum and capability development

•          Provision of education sessions relevant to major Trauma Advanced Practice

•          Networking opportunities

•          Sharing research opportunities, experiences and collaborating with other ACPs.

 

The group aims to meet quarterly via online platforms and annually face to face. The first MTAP conference was held in Salford in September 2024 and was a big success!
